Getting Started
Are you ready to lose weight, boost your energy levels, and commit to a healthy way of living?
The 5 Day Juice Detox is just what you need to get kick-start your plan. In addition to weight loss and more energy, you can expect to see your skin clear up, and that is just the beginning.
What is a Juice Detox?
A Juice Detox involves a 5 day commitment to eating and drinking fruits and veggies. What do you get in return? Besides the benefits above, you will be recharging your body and realigning your diet in order to achieve optimal wellness.
Why Should You Detox?
A Detox gives you the opportunity to use clean, fresh, plant-based energy to revitalize your system. Juicing gives your system the opportunity to be inundated with the minerals, nutrients, and vitamins you need to look gorgeous, fight disease, and stay strong.
What Can A Juice Detox Do For You?
- Set your weight loss in motion
- Enhance your immune system
- Promote detoxification
- Improve digestion
- Promote clear, beautiful skin
Who Should Detox?
Juice Detoxing is safe for almost everyone with a couple of notable exceptions. If you are pregnant or nursing, under the age of 18, or suffer from a medical condition, you should not Detox. If you are unsure whether or not you should Detox, please check with your doctor before getting started. You should also consult your doctor if you are taking any medication.
Exercise:
Physical activity is always important, however, we recommend decreasing the intensity and, at times, how long you exercise while doing the detox. During the detox, it is important to conserve your energy and allow your body time to rest, while keeping your immune system strong. You are also going to be consuming fewer calories and some macronutrients, such as carbohydrates and protein, so you will need to take this into account when planning your workout. During the detox, hydration is crucial. Be sure you are drinking plenty of fluids, especially when exercising. Focus on fluids that are rich in electrolytes, such as coconut water. It is a good idea to concentrate on cycling, gentle yoga, Pilates, tai chi, and walking while completing the detox.
When You Have Completed The Reboot:
The Detox doesn’t end after 5 days. In the future, you can continue juicing by incorporating juice every day into your diet. If you have set weight loss goals that are moderate to significant, you may want to extend your Detox. Most people find the first three days to be the most difficult, but now that you have gone through 5 days, you can continue on, as long as you are feeling okay. If you struggle with certain health conditions, please visit our website for various fruit, veggie, and juice recipes that may be beneficial.
No Calorie Counting
The Detox doesn’t focus on calorie counting. The fact is that increasing the amount of vegetable juice and water you drink, instead of decreasing it like most diet plans, works best for weight loss. When you complete a Detox, you are almost certain to lose weight. If you have no desire to lose weight, you can still Detox for the outstanding health benefits it offers. Just try to drink more juice to support your metabolism.
Setting Your Detox Expectations
Juicing is similar to learning a new skill. You must practice. It is common to experience setbacks in the beginning. When you begin the 5 Day Juice Detox, you will be getting rid of most of your comfort foods. This means that you may experience an emotional release in addition to physical symptoms, such as feeling cranky or having aches and pains. To get yourself started on a successful road, be sure to follow the Getting Ready at night steps. In addition, take several days afterward to incorporate plenty of fruits and veggies into your daily diet.
Getting Ready
When you start the Detox, the cleaner your diet is, the faster you will find yourself in the feel great phase. As a result, we suggest you take the following steps the week before you start your Detox.
- Get rid of any alcohol, processed foods, such as deli meats and bacon, and fast food that is in your diet.
- Transition off of dairy and meat products.
- Decrease junk food and processed foods from your diets, such as desserts, fried foods, sugar, and white flour.
- Increase the beans, legumes, nuts, salads, seeds, and veggies in your diet. • Decrease your caffeine intake, while ensuring you stay hydrated. Be sure to get a minimum of 64 to 72 ounces (2 to 2.5 Liters) per day of fluids.
- Get plenty of sleep.
- Consume a minimum of one fresh juice daily.
- If you do not already own a juicer, it is time to buy one.
Day Before You Get Started
Stop taking all vitamins and supplements that are not prescribed, unless you have been told to take them by your physician. They will not be consumed during the Detox. In addition, you should not take any over-the-counter, self prescribed medicines.
Get your juicer set up and clean. Be sure you clearly understand how to use it. Having everything ready to go the day before will make it a lot easier to stick with the Detox.
