Foods That Help Relieve Constipation

menopause relief

We are what we eat, and nothing is truer than that. If you are used to a diet with low fiber intake, you might quickly develop an irritable bowel syndrome, periods of constipation or diarrhea. Moreover, all these might be accompanied by mood swings, headaches, bloating and abdominal pain. In order to avoid all these complications, you must choose the foods that help your digestive system work properly and eliminate all the waste from your colon. Some fruits are very high in fiber content are the dates and the figs. All you need is to get used to eating at least 3 or 4 figs or dates a day, accompanied by a glass of warm milk. This habit will help you have healthy bowel movements, and you do not have to worry about constipation anymore.

Grapes are fruits, which contain many important vitamins and minerals that are necessary for your body, but they also contain fiber and manganese. Eating grapes will be very gentle on your digestive system, as opposed to using chemical compound laxatives (such as enemas or capsules). Then, persimmon is a fruit that will not only guarantee constipation relief, but that will strengthen your heart muscles. Potassium, Calcium and Manganese are only a few of the very important minerals that can be found in the persimmon.

If you need a gentle and very efficient laxative, you should eat plums. These have a very high fiber content, are easily accessible, very cheap and natural. Instead of taking expensive laxatives in the hope that you will get rid of constipation, you should eat five or six plums. Finally, the raspberries are not only very rich in Vitamin A and C, which are critical for a good immune system, but also because of minerals such as manganese, calcium or iron, they will help build a healthy digestive system, and have regular bowel movements.
